Dzogchen Semde Practice

with Elio Guarisco

Dzogchen Semde practices give us the capacity to experientially understand the true nature of our mind: our real nature, our primordial potentiality.

To ensure that thoughts and emotions do not become obstacles to understanding, and to remain in the state of the true nature of the mind, we will first practice Shamata with the aid of a support and then without a support. Finally, we will use Semde methods in an attempt to access and remain in the unborn condition of the mind, and so gain the ability to no longer be dominated by the illusions created by the mind.

This course is reserved to those who have completed the Base exam of Santi Maha Sangha and have participated in the training for the First Level.

This Retreat will be focused on experiencing the methods of meditations of Dzogchen Semde of Sogdogpa Lodro Gyaltsen as contained in the 1th level of the Santi Maha Sangha.
The Explanation will consists in detailed instructions for the practice.
To create the conditions in which the participants can have deep experience from the practice, from the first session in the morning of each day until the end of the last session it is advised that participants practice ‘mache’ (smra bcad སྨྲ་བཅད་) interrupting speech or total silence.
Not to disrupt the atmosphere of the practice participants are required to attend all sessions; and arrive before the session start.
