Khaita – Easy Dances for Everyone

with Adriana Dal Borgo

A weekend to learn the basic steps of the Khaita Joyful Dances. After these days together, you will be able to easily follow many of the dances performed in Khaita sessions.

The Khaita Joyful Dances were developed by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu together with his students, based on modern songs performed by young Tibetan artists. Some follow the patterns of Tibetan tradition, while others have a more modern and original style: in the latter, the movements are an expression of the sung lyrics.

These dances are engaging and easy to learn. They require no particular skills, are suitable for people of all ages, and also for those who are not familiar with music or dance.

These dances are enjoyable and easy to learn. They do not require special skills and are suitable for people of all ages and even those who are not familiar with music or dance. The choreography is based on interaction and on recognition of one’s own space and that of others, promoting openness towards others and collaboration between people. They are fun, strengthen one’s physical condition and teach how to move in harmony with space and time.

Khaita Joyful Dances are a simple and direct tool for training presence.
