Akasha

Dances and stories from India

Akasha is the Sanskrit term for Ether. In the Indian Tradition this word is used to refer to the absence of all things belonging to the material world, the smallest element created from the astral world. Akasha is one of the Panchamahabhuta, the Five Great Elements and its main characteristic is Shabda, sound.

We present an evening of Indian dance, in the Bharatanatyam style, along with the narrations that allow us to enter the poetry and symbolism of the myths that these dances represent. and to enjoy the emotions, Rasa, that each dance can reveal.

We try to live dance as an experience that allows us to transcend the limits of time and space, because our bodies, aside from being an expressive space, have always been able to narrate the meanings enclosed in the depths of our being.
