Saturday, July 25th, at 7.30 pm, there will be a special event at the Gönpa of Merigar: Lobsang Delek, singer of some of the Khaita songs such as Bod la Dro (Let's Go to Tibet), or Phuyana (Up There in the Valley), will give a live concert at Merigar with performances of Vajra Dance, Joyful Khaita Dances and Tibetan dances.
The evening will open with the Dance of the Vajra of the Six Spaces, a symbolic dance of compassion performed on a five-colored mandala, accompanied for the occasion by previously unreleased music that will soon be published; we will then accompany Lobsang Delek's singing with some well-known Joyful Khaita Dances and other simple circle dances.
At the end of the event, there will be a refreshments with traditional Tibetan momos, along with other food and drinks.

Lobsang Delek is a Tibetan and Himalayan singer, composer, and auto-entrepreneur based in France. He has successfully combined his artistic career with cultural entrepreneurship while touring and performing in more than 18 countries.
Born in Ganzi County, Tibet, he discovered his passion for music at the age of nine. After fleeing to India as a teenager, he studied at the Tibetan Children’s Village (TCV) in Dharamsala and later at Sarah College for Higher Tibetan Studies. During his college years, he released three acclaimed albums—Cuckoo, Tenzin Dolma Returns (2009), and Bhoe La Dro (2012)—which became beloved among Tibetan and Himalayan communities worldwide.
Now based in Paris, France, Lobsang Delek continues to promote Tibetan culture through music and international performances. His songs, known for their patriotic, poetic, and romantic themes, are available on major streaming platforms.
This year, he will perform in Italy alongside the Khaita dancers, who have performed to his music for many years. Several of his songs are included in the 108 Khaita Joyful Dances, selected by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche, making this collaboration especially meaningful.
