WELCOME TO MERIGAR

June Dates: Sunday 14 and Sunday 28 from 4 to 6 pm

July Dates: Sunday 12 and 19 from 5 to 7 pm, Friday 17 4 to 6 pm

August: Saturday 1 5 to 7 pm and 15 Saturday from 3 to 5 pm

At designated time, you will find volunteers at  the Merigar facilities ready to welcome you and tell you the history, symbols and characteristics of the various buildings.

Leave your car in the parking lot and start walking!

  • At Yellow House you will find the reception; here you can get the first information about Merigar and its activities and take a map. You will also find the books by the master Chögyal Namkhai Norbu and a small shop with Asian crafts.
  • In front of the Temple of the Great Contemplation (Gönpa), conceived, designed, and developed by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu, you will meet a guide. Leave your shoes outside, and enter with the guide in the Temple to discover symbols, representations and ornaments of this unique building.
  • A short walk will take you to the Library, where an expert will take you through traditional Tibetan texts, letters and calligraphies.
  • You can independently continue your visit by going to the Stupas and enjoying the landscape surrounded by nature.

Participation is free. We recommend groups of 3-4 people. Larger groups will be divided before entering the buildings.

Participants must keep a safe distance, must bring a face mask and sanitize their hands at the entrance to the buildings. Those who have a fever or flu-like symptoms may not participate, nor can anyone who has been in contact with people with Covid-19.

Visitors are always welcome to walk around the Merigar lands, but apart from the scheduled guided tours it may not be possible to enter all of the facilities.

The secretary is here every day except Wednesday and Friday, from 9 to 13 and 15 to 17:30.
