Merigar is offering comfortable accommodation in Arcidosso: an apartment with four large bedrooms, a double, a twin (or double), a triple (double or twin beds plus single) and a single. There is sleeping accommodation for eight people in total, a living room, dining room and kitchen, and two bathrooms. Perfect for a group of friends but also for those who do not know Merigar and want to attend a course or workshop there and share accommodation with people who have the same interest. The rooms can be rented individually too.

Located in the village, at 110 via David Lazzaretti, the apartment has all amenities nearby, with an excellent café on the ground floor of the building and readily available parking.
It is a very functional apartment, situated in a strategic position for those who do not have a car because it is on the road to Merigar and everybody goes by so it is very easy to find a ride if you do not have or do not want to use the car. There is also a bus stop nearby for the Abbadia S. Salvatore bus (get off at the Aiuole stop for Merigar). A few meters away there is a path through the countryside for those who prefer to walk to Merigar (40/45 minutes).

The apartment is fully equipped, complete with linen, all beds have orthopedic frames in wood, latex or memory foam mattresses, pillows (orthopedic pillows on request), down blankets and others in hypoallergenic polyamide for those with allergies to feathers. The laundromat ( washing and drying machines) is only a 10 minute walk.
The apartment has two communal areas: the dining room has a table that easily accommodates 8/10 people and faces south so that it is enjoyable for having a tea or coffee with the sun lighting up the room and the balcony. The other very enjoyable space in the apartment is a large living area with a sofa and armchairs, perfect for relaxing, reading or simply sitting quietly. From any window, there is always the view of the sky.

The apartment is on the 3rd floor of an apartment building and has an elevator.

Costs: € 50 per night for a double/twin room, 30 for a single and 70 for a triple.

This is an excellent base for those wishing to discover this part of Tuscany and its natural wonders. The apartment is on Monte Amiata, covered in a forest of well cared for beech trees, spectacular in all seasons, a quarter of an hour’s drive from the summit (1700 m). The nearby Monte Labbro Nature Park and Monte Labbro itself, besides being home to the fascinating story of David Lazzaretti, offer a 360-degree view from the top that is breathtaking.
In less than an hour you can reach five different hot springs in the countryside such as Saturnia, San Casciano dei Bagni, San Filippo, Bagno Vignoni, and Chianciano. In 50 minutes you get to Maremma, with the Uccellina Nature Park, Talamone, Capalbio, and Castiglione della Pescaia on the Tyrrhenian coast as well as Giglio island. Then there are the Bolsena and Trasimeno lakes and the Etruscan ‘Vie Cave’ paths in Pitigliano and Sorano, all wonderful excursions to do even just for a day.

In the village of Arcidosso you can visit the Aldobrandescan castle that houses the medieval museum with a section dedicated to David Lazzaretti and eat in restaurants and taverns that offer typical Tuscan cuisine. If time permits, in June and September the area is famous for its highly prized porcini and Caesar mushrooms.
