Continuing beyond the Yellow House (Serkhang) for about a hundred meters, after a short descent you arrive at a building that despite its ordinary appearance preserves an inestimable heritage.

This is the cultural and historical center of Merigar and beyond: it contains the Mandala Hall, the Library, and the Archives of the Community. Like the other buildings, this also has a Tibetan name, Zikhang, or the House of Zi (gzi), a highly prized stone of the agate family, which according to Tibetan tradition has special properties as an amulet as well as particular symbolic and material values. The House of Zi was inaugurated in 1987.
